One of a couple of groups who have suddenly got huge without doing anything particularly different. Does that mean it was a weak year? This doesn’t sound like the future, but it’s still very good.

Again, not 100% sold on Sam Smith, but love the production on this one.

Not really sold on Mr Genius previously, and the track in all the 2014 lists (“Queen”) doesn’t do much for me either. This, however, is incredible. Why didn’t I put it higher?

Yeah, so it’s Calvin Harris with a blatant ploy to cash in on the moribund Ibiza summer holiday anthems market, and he doesn’t even have Rihanna helping him out, just his odd, strained voice, and somehow it’s…. really good? You may not agree, I’m fully prepared for that.
